Government's announcement to make petrol 10 rupees, diesel 7 and half rupees cheaper
The government has announced a reduce in the prices of petroleum products.
In a press conference through video link, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that petrol will be cheaper by Rs 10 and diesel by Rs 7 and a half per litre.
He further said that the price of kerosene oil was reduced by 10 rupees, the price of high speed diesel by 7 and a half rupees and the price of light diesel was also reduced by 10 rupees per liter.
According to the report, after the reduction in prices, petrol decreased from 224.80 to 214.80 rupees, diesel from 235.30 to 227.80 rupees per liter, while kerosene decreased from 181.83 to 171.83 rupees and light speed diesel from 179 to 169 rupees per liter.
The finance minister said that the prime minister wants to give maximum relief to the people. The new prices will be applied tonight at 12 pm from December 16 to December 31.
